YOGA NIDRA TRAINING

Online Teacher Training

About the training

Overview

This online Yoga Nidra Teacher Training course fulfils the US Yoga Alliance’s CE non-contact 3-year requirement (20 CE’s). Weekend workshops accrue 14 hours CPD/CE credits with the US Yoga Alliance and the Independent Yoga Network

100 hours average study and practice time – 75 hours Yoga Nidra practice, 25 hours study and assignments.

The course is suitable for yoga teachers, trainee yoga teachers, yoga students, individuals and health care professionals who wish to deepen their practice and understanding of Yoga Nidra, both for self-development and in preparation for teaching.

We have graduates all over the world – including the UK, Australia, N America, S America, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, S Africa, Canada, Hong Kong, Italy, India and Vietnam.

Another factor was the depth of study promised by your training. Among other things, I read a couple of studies, before looking for a training, that stressed the physiological differences between meditation, relaxation, and yoga nidra, so I was pleased to read that you address the difference between meditation and yoga nidra in your course as well. There aren’t many courses out there that appear to do so!

Course Aims

The course examines Yoga Nidra in depth, from both classical and contemporary perspectives, providing a comprehensive foundation for experiencing and teaching Yoga Nidra.

Students are required to expand the practice and investigate different approaches, to enable them to teach this wonderful method of extreme relaxation to others with skill and grace. This comes from immersing yourself in the practice for 6 months, and becoming the student as you surrender to Yoga Nidra.

The course aims to encourage and enable teachers and students to deepen their personal experience and understanding of Yoga Nidra. The required hours of practice and theory guide you, whilst simultaneously preparing you to guide and teach others.

Practicing, studying and comparing different approaches to Yoga Nidra leads to a deeper understanding and experience of both classical and contemporary methods.

On successful completion of the course, you will be equipped to offer well-informed, safe teaching to yoga teachers, health care professionals, social workers, students - anyone interested in learning. You will also have gained greater insight into yourself and the extraordinary gifts of the ancient practice of Yoga Nidra.
