Mooji and the state of Yoga Nidra, the ground of being
"Somehow, some deep recognition happens inside you, of something that is beyond the world that is experienced in your mind. I’m not trying to excite you for a great experience of awakening, or oh wow, not like that because, if awakening comes in the form of a great experience and wow, rolling on the floor, and singing hallelujah and stuff - it will also pass.
So don’t cling to any desire like that. What I’m pointing and hope that somehow it is recognised, is that which is always here. It doesn’t belong to the mind, nor to dreams or to desires. It is always stable, always complete, always harmonious, always content, always silent, always happy. And I will call that one’s true being.
If we’re searching for an experience it is not somebody’s experience, it is here before the sense of the somebody-ness that we take ourselves to be is formed in the mind. The idea we have of who we are is an idea appearing in the mind. What you truly are is before your mind.
So I don’t know at this point who will listen in such a way - not deep, deep, deep, because the self is not deep deep deep or shallow, shallow, it doesn't exist especially on one dimension it is total. If it is already here and if we could conceive of a time that ss millions, billions of years ago, that which is called truth or the pure self or the parabrahman or the absolute or the. Ultimate truth, has always been here.
Unchanged, undisturbed by the changeful ways if the mind."
Personal recommendation - if you ever get the chance to attend a silent retreat or satsang with Mooji in person, go. Open your heart, close your mouth and just be.
