Based in Devon, UK, she offers classes and teacher training workshops and courses, and is the author of the Yoga Nidra and Trauma Informed Yoga teacher training courses offered here.

Classical Yoga prenatal, postnatal and fertility yoga teacher training courses were established in 2004. With over 600 graduates worldwide, the perinatal and fertility yoga TT courses and workshops are now run by Lara Heppell Jane’s focus since 2014 has been Yoga Nidra and Trauma Informed Yoga teacher training, following the death of her beloved son in 2013 . All of the courses provide continuous professional development (CPD) credits for yoga teachers through a combination of distance learning and workshops.

Classical hatha yoga is the style Jane favours, practices and teaches; her first teacher, the late Kevin Kingsland, was a highly experienced and respected teacher of classical yoga.  She has tried several other styles, but has always found that classical integral yoga works best, and includes postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation (dhyana) and deep relaxation (savasana and yoga nidra) in each class.  Stillness and silence are great teachers.

Silence is not an absence; it is a presence.
